Shit for a King

Royal Indian Toilet Chair

This is not the right image to begin this series with since it does not fit the criteria of what this series has been described as. A) It’s technically a toilet, not a chair and B) it’s far from discarded, but instead housed in a palace in Udaipur, India. Still though, it’s worthy of your attention. The King, his name is blanking, but I’ll come back to it was crippled. He had an ill toilet made for his comfort however. Amazing, since llike 90% of the people in this country are impoverished, or at least it seems that way. Glad you could shit in comfort, King.

Contrary to the type of image that Heineken is attempting to associate themselves with, our friend here is neither “premium” or “light,” he does however belong to a fraternity that fashions themselves as Free Masons and proponents of a new Illuminati/New World Order.  I’m not going to even try to decypher the cryptic bullshit non sensical meaning that encompasses his whole back… I just hope this dude is married or settled down, because I can’t imagine a girl/guy taking our guy’s shirt off and just rolling with this tat.  “Don’t worry sweetie, the world isn’t going up in flames, and “the man” doesn’t have one eye open on you or anything… it’s just an inside joke with me and some of my homeboys.”

Get that ass on the flo’

A good friend, Molly, (aka “Morry” in Japanese),  had an art opening the other day.  (More about Morry soon, as she’s one of the top artistic talents I’ve seen)  The subject of this film she made here, performed at this opening in almost an impromptu sorta way.  It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen, my jaw was on the ground.  You have to track Mecca Vazie Andrews down to see her in action.  It’s amazing.

Make it rain on dem dems.

Make it rain on dem dems.

It was amazing, there were like thousands of hipsters in the streets chanting “USA” and singing “God Bless America.” It’s so exciting, now when I go abroad I don’t have to be afraid of saying where I’m from.

Clearly, it’s not just the blue collar man who has reason to rejoice for Obama’s election.

Nightmare on Mission and 22nd St

I really was conflicted in my voting whether to opt for more affordable housing in SF, knowing it would never affect me personally.  I mean, I just won’t be in SF by the time the projects funded by the prop get built.  Needless to say, finding decent housing in this city is a bitch, and this will kick off a series of solid CL posts from other SF’ers and around the world.  I “interviewed” with a house deep in the mission, apparently I made the cut… but something told me it wasn’t the right fit, besides I may have been offended or just scared shitless when my left the house dressed like this.

I don’t know why this made me laugh.  It sounds like a nerdy Rob Jeremy.  How many people have said to you, “The people who friend you on FB, who you never even talked to in high school and don’t know you are so fucking annoying?”  Chances are it’s been a few, or maybe you’re just not as big a nerd as I am.  Whatever the case may be, who are these people anyway?  “Hi we’re friends now on a digital cyber space network, and now we won’t talk in the virtual world too!”  Step off bitches, I know you didn’t feel my glasses in high school but you sweat my Internet swagger now, huh?  Holler Front!
